Who is Moire Kiyingi?
Moire Kiyingi is a Vancouver-based Ugandan-Canadian actor who earned her BA in Theatre Performance at Fordham University at Lincoln Center (NYC). There she was fortunate to be taught by Phylicia Rashad, Matthew Maguire, and Dawn Saito. Moire then went on to earn her MFA in Acting from The New School For Drama (NYC) and was taught by other amazing humans such as Kathleen Chalfant, Kathryn Rossetter, Peter Jay Fernandez, Ron Leibman, and Cotter Smith. Moire has also trained at Lee Strasberg, as well as at Upright Citizens Brigade and Magnet Theater for improv.
Moire was born in Austria, and has moved and traveled a lot due to her her parents working for the United Nations. Moire is so grateful she got to meet and learn from many awesome people in the various places she’s lived. She has a great love for Alternative R&B, Shoegaze, and Dream Pop music. She also loves concerts, memes, horror movies, and traveling. When she’s not acting, she’s probably playing guitar in her room, or watching a musical improv show. She’s also a HUGE 90’s aficionado. Seriously, she (feels like she) knows *almost* every single song from the 90’s....and is still working on seeing every movie from that decade too. Ask her about it!
